Position
Summary:
Our Office Assistant will be responsible to support the study team in the organization and review of the research materials while the clinical trial is under IRB oversight. You will also ensure all study related correspondence and documents are created and processed with accuracy and efficiency, within the company service standards. Within the scope of this position, you will contribute to the company's overall mission of protecting the rights and welfare of human subjects involved in clinical research.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
Proof documents on behalf of the IRB team
Prepare documents for shipping/mailing.
General filing, faxing, coping documents, photocopying of study materials.
Make sure the team has the appropriate supplies for the department (i.e. mail supplies, toner, letterhead, file folders, etc.).
Work in a confidential, secure environment and play a vital role in the preservation and maintenance of study related files and archives.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all departmental issues and other sensitive audit, staff, company, and client information.
Maintain a high level of professionalism in dealing with visitors and clients in person and via the telephone.
Participate in ongoing educational training and education including attendance at professional conferences.
Other duties as required and assigned by the Operations leadership team. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
Education Requirements:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred;
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
Six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Have knowledge or database software; internet software; Microsoft Office.
Ability to proofread and detect errors in typing, spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation is required.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Candidate must be self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and use excellent judgment while prioritizing documents to be proofread or generated.
Must have effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a proactive team player is required.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
